Houndstooth Pattern on the Rigid Heddle Loom
with Peg Ickes and Patricia Romero

The “checkerboard” houndstooth design is a classic and fun pattern for the rigid heddle loom, but it is also a great pattern to learn if you’d like to experiment with color changes that create amazing design, also known as “Color and Weave”. With this pattern you can make scarves, bags, towels, placemats, runners- the possibilities are endless!

In this 2 day class students created a 14” by 24” houndstooth kitchen towel with instructors Peg and Patricia.

Peg and Patricia will be teaching other weaving patterns, such as the Log Cabin design - in future Rigid Heddle classes. Stay tuned!
