Shibori Dye Workshop with Amanda Speer

Students learned block shibori, clamp shibori, and folded shibori techniques in this course. Local weaver and dyer Amanda Speer guided students through the many different processes of shibori to create elaborate multi-layered shibori designs!

In this course, students were able to get comfortable with the amazing EVFAC dye lab, while learning the use a vast array of dyes including Vat Dyes, Acid Dyes, Procion Dyes, and more! Students went home with a wide collection of dyed scarves and tea towels.
